It was a mad plan, but we saw the land and went for it: our Andalucian adventure, where we let the children off the leash with animals, space, freedom and good weather.
The house we built was simple, more vernacular farm building than Spanish
costas style. We used local materials, from earth coloured pantiles, to rescued barn doors. There were whitewashed walls inside and out.
The scent of tuberoses and jasmine wafting over the courtyard, tiles baked warm from the day`s heat, and home grown fat tomatoes, knobbly and pink, are some of my Sierra memories.
