Pink and scented

The crab apple jelly  has set perfectly, translucent and sunset pink, in an assortment of jars.  It has a rich and fragrant apple flavour which I can’t resist eating on buttered toast with a dollop of cream. This has to be one of  autumn’s guiltiest pleasures.
